Anyone read this? It’s knocking my socks off so far. I wish I could spend the rest of my (rainy) workday on it. Here’s one great line:
Judy Blume, I had no idea.
Borders going-out-of-business haul from yesterday. I saved over $160. Feeling a little sad, as there aren’t that many book stores on LI to begin with, but mostly happy to have so many good books to read.
P.S. Sorry for the blurry phone photo, but I think you can make out most of these. Third from the top is Daphne du Maurier’s Don’t Look Now and fifth from the top is Nocturnes by Ishiguro.
Just finished reading this wonderful debut by Katie Arnold-Ratliff, thanks to my Powell’s Indiespensable. (Still pimping.) It definitely had the feeling of a debut, but a very strong, complex and compelling one. Kind of couldn’t put it down!
The Millions has kicked off its “A Year in Reading” series for 2010. I know this is everywhere (I’ve seen it mentioned on other blogs at least five times today), but it’s everywhere for a reason. Probably. Also, it’s a series, so be sure to check back as it updates, ya dig?
Edit: Make that SIX times today.
